Render Softwashing

Render is widely used in the building industry across the UK as it delivers a cost effective finishing solution that looks fantastic when new, is very even in its finish and is available in many colours. That said, even the varying manufacturers of render recognise that it needs to be cleaned from time to time. 

If your render is looking like it is stained with either black, green or red marks, you will probably be unaware that this is actually algae and other organic matter breeding on the substrate. At Trade Solutions Yeovil Ltd, our Softwashing team can treat K-Rend, Weber, Parex, Sto, Monocouche through colour renders, to name but a few. We can also treat and clean painted render and most pebbledash finishes.

Many people believe that when the rendered surfaces become infected with algae, that painting the surface is the best method to address this. Should this be done without cleansing it using our Softwash service in the first instance, the algae will continue to breed and penetrate and break down the paint leaving your building looking even worse than before. 

Our Softwash treatment services are a safe low pressure, environmentally friendly method designed to effectively kill, clean and remove these infections from the surface leaving your property or building sanitised and looking like new. Using specialist long reach poles, we are able to tackle many buildings safely from the ground and will only do so when the conditions are suitable. We only use professional grade products and all treatments will be carried out safely and by a trained operator. For the larger commercial buildings where access can be more difficult, we can provide trained operators and appropriate mechanical access equipment for the task.

High Pressure cleaning methods will not be used by us to clean render due to the risk of damage to the substrate. These methods also do not kill the root system which means infection is likely to return much quicker. This can also be the case if incorrect products are used or indeed the render clean is not done professionally.
